On September 20-23, 2018, an anniversary 25th Forum of Publishers was held in Lviv. Publishing house Kalamar also participated in it.

We introduced to it our well-known books. And also those that came out this year, and with which the audience had not yet had a good time to get acquainted. Namely: “Thumbelina” by Hans Christian Andersen, “Mikhlik going to the sea” by Oksana Krotjuk, “New Year’s holidays” by Inna Ruda.

In general, the Forum of Publishers is a positive emotion, a bunch of impressions and acquaintances. But the most pleasant thing is the eyes of people who are in love with books. They charge us for new ideas!

A very pleasant surprise for us: we received the Special Award of the President of the Forum “Publishers Forum” Aleksandra Koval for our book “Thumbelina” by Hans Christian Andersen.

This fairy tale has become a classic for many generations of children. But years are coming and we wanted to somehow “rejuvenate” it, make it closer to the children of the modern generation. The main task was to create new illustrations and design of the work.

The artistic decoration of the book was played by Oliiko’s play. It turned out to be unconventional, interesting, extraordinary, and to some extent quite brave. It is thanks to that that we have received an honorary award from the Forum of Publishers. What is incredibly proud.

We can say that this is a new Thumbelina for modern children.
