ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Oksana Krotiuk is a Ukrainian children’s writer, a member of The National Writers' Union of Ukraine and The National Journalists' Union of Ukraine.
She previously worked as a press-secretary at the National Centre of Folk Culture “Ivan Honchar Museum”, later becoming the head of its PR Department. Starting from 2004, she became the literary editor of Maliatko (“A little one”) magazine. In 2010-2011 she had her own radio program “The big world of a little reader” at Culture radio channel.
She writes in various genres and regularly publishes her works in children’s magazines Maliatko (“A little one”), Zerniatko (“A grain”), Piznayko (“A curious child”), Krylati (“The Winged”), as well as in literary collections.
ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR
Kost Lavro is a renowned professional of the Ukrainian book graphics. His style is unique and easy to recognize. He combines features of the Ukrainian Avant-garde of the 1920s with characteristics typical of the Ukrainian folk painting. Kost Lavro’s works have been regularly included into catalogues of children’s books shows in Bologna, Bratislava, etc.
