Valentyna Bochkovska is the director of the Ukrainian Museum of Books and Printing (since 2008), historian, researcher and expert in the field of antique books’ verification (XVI-XVIII cent.). She graduated from Kyiv State University (1989) and completed her graduate studies at the Ukrainian center of the Philosophy Department of Taras Shevchenko National University. She co-authored several books, such as “The Catalogue of Books Printed at Pochayiv and Univ Monastries in XVIII-XX Centuries, from the collection of the Ukrainian Museum of Books and Printing” (2008), “A Collection of Ukrainian Antique Books of XVI-XVIII Centuries” (2012).
In 2012-2016 she was on the panel of judges of the International Lviv Book Forum.
In 2016-2017 — a Fulbright scholar in Chicago (USA) where she worked with antique book and map collections in museums of Chicago, Stamford and New York.
